About the Classes

Practical and enjoyable, with advice for our daily lives, these classes are taught by Resident Teacher and Western Buddhist Monk, Gen Sanden.  These classes offer simple, practical methods to improve the quality of our life and develop inner peace through meditation and Buddhist teachings. Classes consist of two guided meditations and a teaching to help us solve our daily problems and find the lasting happiness we seek.

No previous experience required – beginners welcome. Classes are presented in series, but each class is self contained.  Drop in any week.

The Teacher

These classes are normally taught by Gen Sanden. Over the summer months they are often filled in by other Kadampa Buddhist Teachers.  Gen Sanden is a Canadian Buddhist monk, and the Resident Teacher of Kadampa Meditation Centre Vancouver.  He has been a long time student of Geshe Kelsang Gyatso, the founder of the New Kadampa Tradition. He is well loved for his compassion, sense of humour and the clarity of his teachings.


Class Fees

$12 or 5 class card for $50 (purchase at class).  Just drop in, no pre-registration.

You may also wish to purchase a Centre Membership and attend any meditation class at no extra charge.
